Traffic rules always apply

Road traffic regulations apply during every trip and when parking. Only leave the car where signage clearly allows it. Keep an eye out for temporary restrictions too, like construction sites or temporary no-parking zones.

The 48-hour rule

Once you park, you’re responsible for the car’s location for 48 hours, unless someone else takes it for a ride in the meantime. If you park in a permanent no-parking zone (Halteverbot), you’re liable regardless of the 48-hour rule.

Stick to public streets

Within the MILES business area, you can park for free on public streets — we cover the parking costs there. Outside the business area, parking fees are on you. Parking garages are only allowed if clearly marked as permitted.

Avoid these common mistakes

Only park where it’s allowed

Watch out for red no-parking areas in the app before you pause or end your trip. Other areas, like private parking lots at supermarkets, may be fine for short stopovers but not to end your ride.

Mind the 48-hour rule

You’re responsible for the car’s location for 48 hours — unless someone rents it again.
Watch for time-limited zones like Halteverbot or event signs!

Business area limits

You can drive almost anywhere. Even beyond the business area.

But rides must end within it. Outside? Just pause your ride and keep exploring.
