Price and Fee Schedule

Here you will find all important information on additional fees and minimum charges (Section 1), insurance coverage and deductibles (Section 2), standardized compensation amounts (flat fees) for typical damage cases that may result from breaches of duty (Section 3), as well as contractual penalties for violations of certain contractual obligations (Section 4). When flat fees and contractual penalties apply is explained directly in the relevant section.

1. Fees and Minimum Charges

The following fees may apply in addition, depending on the vehicle type or usage:Unlock Fee
€1 per ride for S & M vehicles
€2 per ride for Premium, L & XL vehicles
→ Applies from the moment you unlock the vehicle.
Rookie Fee
Monthly base fee: €9 per calendar month
→ Applies for the first 12 months after obtaining your driver’s license – but only in months in which you actually take a ride.The fee becomes due with your first ride in the respective calendar month.
Minimum Charge for L and XL Vehicles
€15 per ride
→ If your ride costs less, the minimum charge applies. If the ride price exceeds this amount, billing is carried out as usual based on km/hour/day rates.
Protection Plus is not included in the minimum charge.
City-to-City Fahrten (available in all MILES cities)

€5 per calendar day (max. €25 per rental)

  • Düsseldorf (DUS): Pick-up fee €5, drop-off fee €5
  • Stuttgart (STR): Pick-up fee €6, drop-off fee €6
  • Frankfurt am Main (FRA): Pick-up fee €0, drop-off fee €0
Reminder Fees in Case of Late Payment

Returned Direct Debit Fee

→ If the specified bank account cannot be debited, a fee of €5 will be charged.This fee applies only to MILES for Business accounts that pay their monthly invoices via SEPA direct debit.

2. Insurance Coverage & Deductible

If damage occurs, your liability is generally limited to the amount of the applicable deductible – except in cases of intent or gross breach of duty (see GTC / AMB). If you can prove that you are not at fault, liability does not apply.Valid in accordance with AMB Section 8.Vehicle Class & Deductible

3. Standardized Compensation (Flat Fees)

Below you will find flat fees for typical damage cases that may result from breaches of duty. These flat fees cover the damage typically incurred in such cases.MILES’ right to claim further damages remains unaffected. Any forfeited flat fee will be credited against a corresponding claim for damages by MILES.
Flat fees will not be charged if you can prove that you are not responsible for the damage, that no damage occurred, or that the actual damage is significantly lower than the flat fee. The provisions of AMB Section 6 apply.
Administrative Fee for Processing Official Inquiries: €29.50
→ Flat fee pursuant to AMB 8.8.Charged for the additional administrative effort incurred by the provider due to inquiries from law enforcement authorities (e.g. police or regulatory offices) to identify the responsible renter.This amount covers, in particular, internal processes and staff time caused by legal violations committed by the renter during the rental period (traffic and regulatory offenses).
Administrative Fee for Towing €70
→ Flat fee pursuant to AMB 3.7.Charged for additional internal effort incurred because the vehicle was not freely accessible or not properly parked after the end of the rental, making relocation by MILES or the commissioning of a towing service necessary.
Special Cleaning: €150
→ Flat fee pursuant to AMB 3.9 a.Charged for the typically increased effort resulting from the vehicle not being returned in a proper and clean condition as required.The flat fee covers additional cleaning, disinfection, odor removal, and restoration of a condition suitable for immediate re-rental.
Service Trip: €100
→ Flat fee pursuant to AMB 2.6.Charged for necessary trips by MILES employees resulting from breaches of duty, in particular due to improper vehicle operation or deliberately incorrect reporting of a malfunction.
Accident Processing: €130
→ Flat fee pursuant to AMB 5.4 in conjunction with AMB 8.3.Charged for the typical effort involved in handling a damage case, including documentation, communication with insurers, coordination with repair shops, and any necessary on-site inspections.Further damages may be claimed in accordance with AMB 8.
Loss of Vehicle Key or Other Provided Accessories: €300
→ Flat fee pursuant to AMB 3.9 c.Charged for the typical damage and effort incurred due to a culpable breach of the obligation to return the vehicle, specifically the absence of the vehicle key at the end of the rental.The flat fee covers, in particular, the costs required to restore vehicle security and availability.
Incorrect Refueling: €150
→ Flat fee pursuant to AMB 4.5.Charged for the typical effort resulting from a culpable breach of the refueling or charging obligation.The flat fee covers, in particular, logistical and administrative measures necessary to limit damage.
Parking Outside the Business Area: €500
→ Flat fee pursuant to AMB 3.6 in conjunction with AMB 8.3.Charged for the substantial logistical and operational effort incurred due to a culpable breach of the obligation to return the vehicle within the business area.The flat fee covers typical ancillary damage costs and dispatch efforts required to recover and return the vehicle.

4. Contractual Penalties

Below are contractual penalties for certain violations of our terms and conditions.MILES’ right to claim further damages remains unaffected. Any forfeited contractual penalty will be credited against a corresponding claim for damages.
Contractual penalties will not be charged if you can prove that you are not responsible for the violation due to lack of fault.The provisions of AMB Section 6 apply.
Late or Incomplete Damage Report: €29.50
→ Contractual penalty for violating the obligation to submit the completed damage form, written accident report, and any police information in a timely, complete, and truthful manner pursuant to AMB 5.4.
Parking Outside the Country of Operation: €1,000
→ Contractual penalty for violating AMB 2.3 a.
Unauthorized International Trip: €250
→ Contractual penalty for violating the prohibition on international use pursuant to AMB 2.3 a.
Vehicle Blocking: €50
→ Contractual penalty for violating AMB 2.3 g (remaining in the vehicle without movement contrary to the intended purpose of use).
Aggressive Driving Behavior: €250
→ Contractual penalty for violating AMB 2.2 b (reckless driving, serious traffic violations).
Smoking or Vaping in the Vehicle: €100
→ Contractual penalty for violating AMB Section 2.3 f (smoking ban).
Sharing Access Data or Enabling Unauthorized Use: €500
→ Contractual penalty for violating GTC 2.4 and AMB 1.12.
Other Breaches of Duty Subject to Contractual Penalties: €250
→ Pursuant to AMB Sections 2.2 a, 2.2 c, 2.2 d, 2.2 e, 2.2 f, 2.2 g, 2.2 h, 2.2 i, 2.2 j and 2.3 a, 2.3 h, 2.3 d, 2.3 i, insofar as the violation is not already covered by a specific contractual penalty listed in this Price and Fee Schedule.
If the customer is obliged to pay a contractual penalty or a flat fee, MILES’ right to claim further damages remains unaffected.Any forfeited contractual penalty or flat fee will be credited against a corresponding claim for damages.Variable costs that must be reimbursed under statutory provisions or pursuant to AMB 8 are not part of this Price and Fee Schedule.
